Blind Image - An image being a portrayal or a replication of things that we hear and see around us, within our hearts and minds; things that are sometimes too real for comfort, some facts that are too hard to swallow and hence once in a while we tend to purposely hide such uncomfortable images away, blinding them from our vision to satisfy our own sense of vanity. These images become our 'Blind Images', representations of the devil within us all.
Conceived in late 2006, the concept of Blind Image was put into theory in January 2007 when drummer Srikrishna and guitarist Prashant decided to come together to form a Metal band in the Southernmost city in India, Chennai. Looking around for band members, they found bassist Shricharan and singer David. In March 2007, Blind Image started their musical venture with a short tour of two South Indian cities . By the end of 2007, the band had already played most of the major Indian cities and developed a steadily growing fanbase. During the songwriting process, the band agreed upon the fact that they could sound a lot better with two guitars. After auditioning many guitarists, the band discovered hidden talent in the form of their own bassist Shricharan, who showed to be more efficient with the guitars than with the bass. After the inclusion of bassist Tibu, the line - up was complete.
Blind Image released their first self - produced album titled Psychobabble in the year 2008. Their extremely energetic live shows, really got the audience asking for more as fan pressure required the band to keep returning to their cities for more shows due to which they ended up touring India multiple times following the release.
In May 2009, Blind Image went into the studio again with Laxman Chandrasekar, a protégé of Oscar winning musician, A.R.Rahman, after recruiting Muneeb on bass. The second album titled 'More Than Human' was launched in November 2009. Following the release, the band toured India once again which gained them a bigger fan base. The album was also rated as one of the best produced albums by an Indian band by top magazines and critics. After the departure of Prashant and Muneeb in 2009, they found V.G. Pranav, guitarist and bassist Siva to complete the line - up once again.
Blind Image achieved their biggest feat yet when they supported Cradle of Filth in Palace Grounds, Bangalore. The band also went on to become the first Asian band to get signed on to The Flaming Arts Agency in Europe.

'More Than Human' is a metal record the way a metal album should sound like. In your face and heavy at the same time. Music can be best described as a sheer sonic assault on your senses with varied degrees of complexity. To translate the same energy which a fan experiences while listening to the record on to the live stage is what you expect a metal band to do and none does It better than Blind Image
"Thrashing their way to success - The musical differences creates a form of friction and we channel this friction to make some good music, says Blind Image spokesperson - Krishna on the day of the launch of their latest album More Than Human. This band is thrashing their way to success with their new album "
"The instrumentation on More Than Human is a whole other story too. With odd time signatures, and the crunchy riffs. The drumming too sounds jazzy most of the time. This album easily sets itself apart from many mainstream releases. "
"With plenty of monstrous djent riffs, odd-time drumming and occasionally with clean-sung angst, according to the band. To a large extent, all of this works because all these elements in combination work together as the perfect mosh-pit detonator. Mixing metalcore and thrash riffs with progressive styling, Blind Image straddles a happy space that fans of all three genres should be able to relate to."
In all, More Than Human is a well-formed and energetic album with an impressive production and an interesting, informed concept. The music has an aggressive undertone for all that it is also clean and melodic, an experimental, rumbling atmosphere which has the capacity to be unpredictable and fresh. With Blind Image’s enviable work ethic and ability to think beyond the boundaries, coupled with the strength of their performance – they should be able to keep surprising us through future flights of fancy.
